The role of Junk Food in a healthy diet

Hans Ratzenburger here with another one of my health and fitness articles.

Its a very strange thing that while so many of us surf the web looking at sites promoting healthy eating and weight management, there is a whole alternative universe out there where people are looking for reviews and advice on the best junk food available.

“Is it true Hans?”  I hear you ask.

Are there really sites that advise the readers on the best choice of salty potato chips and burgers?

Yes indeed there are.

 

So to complete my reader’s education I am including a few links to some of my favourite finds in the junk food genre.

But hold on a minute Hans !!!!!    Isn’t this like having a web site for recovering alcoholics and then posting advertisements for alcohol on it?

I don’t agree.

 

On this site I try to practice “Tough Love”.   The Ratchet Diet is a powerful method for losing weight.   In fact it’s more than a method, its really a complete philosophy of life.    So once someone has mastered the basics of The Ratchet Diet and become a fully fledged Ratcheteer, that person should be able to challenge themselves by looking at pictures of tantalising junk food and be able to walk away.

 

 

Its OK to look, but you need to stay strong and resist temptation.    Maybe a few carrot sticks and a half a lettuce is not as mouth watering as a giant burger with the lot, but at least you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror when you wake up the next morning without feelings of self-loathing and disgust
